A study log written by a long-time self-learner of English. Updated when something is worth writing down, and not before.

Who is behind this

One person. I started learning English in school like everyone else, and twenty years later I am still learning — mostly by reading too much and writing too little. This site is the writing part.

I am not a teacher. I do not sell anything. Nothing on this page is sponsored, ranked, or A/B tested. If a resource is here, it is because I personally still use it.

Why "store"?

Honestly, because .com was taken and .store was three dollars. I considered renaming it something more dignified, but every domain I liked was also taken. So we are stuck with the store, and there is nothing on sale.

How this is written

Everything you read here was typed in a plain text editor and saved as HTML. There is no CMS, no comments section, no analytics, no fonts loaded from somewhere else. The whole site fits in a few small files, and that is the way I like it.

If you spot an embarrassing mistake (entirely possible), I have no idea what to tell you, because there is also no contact form. Maybe one day. Sorry.

What is coming next

The current plan is to fill out the vocabulary page with the academic word list I have been collecting for years, and to write one grammar note at a time, in no particular order. If you are reading this in a year and the pages have not grown much, that is also fine. The site is for me first.
